The war in Ukraine continues to have wide-ranging ripple effects on many aspects of the global order, including international commercial flights.
Flight path data from website FlightRadar24 highlights the extra length a March 9th Japan-to-UK plane took to avoid Russian airspace. The flight added 2.5 hours to its journey to take a polar route from Tokyo to London.
