1 min read

The Washington National Cathedral will ring its bells to mark the fact that 700,000 have died of COVID-19 in the United States since the start of the pandemic. The Bourdon bell will toll 700 times, once for every 1,000 people who died from COVID-19. According to the NY Times, it’s estimated 200,000 of those 700,000 deaths would have been preventable with vaccinations.
