This footage shows instances of severe flooding on 3 different continents simultaneously over the weekend, in the southwestern U.S., western Europe, and New Zealand. More than 170 people have been killed as a result of extreme floods in western Europe in the last week alone. Scientists warned that climate change would lead to extreme weather. It is here.
NASA scientists have also raised alarm bells that lunar activity—the moon’s regularly occurring ‘wobble,’ which occurs over a cycle of approx 18 years—is expected to make ‘high tides higher’ by the 2030s. According to Reuters, this will create even more instances of regular extreme flooding, which will result ‘from the combination of the continuing sea level rise associated with climate change and the arrival of an amplification part of the lunar cycle in the mid-2030s.’
