Rare Elephant Twins Born in Kenya #Shorts
1 min read
A rare pair of newborn twin elephants was spotted with their mother by local charity group Save the Elephants in a Kenyan safari park on Jan 17.
According to the charity group, twins are rarely found in elephant populations. These baby elephants are only the second pair of twins ever documented among their 28 years of monitoring the behaviors and movements of elephants in Samburu.
The mother elephants usually don’t have enough milk for twin newborns. The first pair of twins was recorded in the park in 2006. Unfortunately, they died shortly after birth.
