Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri is testifying before a Senate subcommittee, where he will face questions from lawmakers about the platform’s alleged negative impact on teenagers.
Instagram, which is owned by Meta (formerly known as Facebook, Inc.), has faced backlash after former Facebook employee-turned-whistleblower Frances Haugen leaked internal documents suggesting that the company was aware of the potential harm it was doing to younger users’ mental and physical health.
